About Us

Westside Therapy Associates specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric communication disorders, from birth to young adulthood. As one of only a handful of private therapy clinics in Hendricks County, we work hard to offer state-of-the-art neurodiversity-affirming and evidence-based therapy approaches to our clients.

We use the DIR model, an alternative to ABA, which is family-centered and focuses on developing deep relationships through identifying each individual's developmental level and acknowledging their unique needs and differences.

We also focus on empowering caregivers and families to be strong advocates for their children. Our goal is to help each client reach their greatest potential through a strengths-based approach. Every individual, no matter the challenges they face, deserves the opportunity to learn and grow and become.

Our office is located on the peaceful and tranquil campus of Strides to Success in Plainfield, Indiana.

Valyne Anderson, MS, CCC-SLP

Valyne is the owner of Westside Therapy Associates.  Westside Therapy is as much a passion project for her as it is a business.  She is the mother of three active young adults who keep her busy.  She feels strongly that families in Hendricks County should have access to quality therapy services in a convenient location.

Throughout her 24-year career, she has worked with children in homes, clinics, schools, and most recently the telepractice setting. She received a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Brigham Young University (Go Cougars!) and is certified nationally through ASHA. Specializing in pediatrics, she enjoys working with children of all ages. She currently lives in Avon, Indiana but has lived in several states from the East to West Coast. When she is not working, she loves to hike, watch movies and play games with her family. She has expansive experience working with communication disorders including expressive and receptive language delay, articulation, auditory processing, pragmatic language, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Autism, and ADHD. She is currently completing a certification course to be the only DIR Floortime certified therapist in the Indianapolis area.
